Baltic Youth Philharmonic
On August 1st 2011 at Szczecin Philharmonic we participated in concert of Baltic Youth Philharmonic that travels through the entire Baltic Sea region in this program, uniting different musical styles and epochs under its motto ?music without borders?.
From the Danish landscapes and folk-like dance rhythms described by Nielsen?s Violin Concerto of 1911 to Prokofiev?s ?praise of the free and happy human being, his immense power, his noble spirit and intellectual honesty? written towards the end of World War II, toKilar?s 1988 rendition of the folk music of the High Tatra mountains.
Come travel with the young talents of the Baltic Sea region, their inspiring conductor, Kristjan Järvi and the rising star Mikhail Simonyan.
We enjoyed the concert very much!
