5th International Golf Tournament, 20th May 2007
Our 5th International Golf Tournament was incorporated as the closing event to the highly successful Rotary District 2260 Annual Conference which took place in Szczecin. The weather at the Binowo Park Golf Course was magnificent; sun blocker was the order of the day for the International visitors to the tournament.
The Club was honoured by the presence of Mr. Wilf Wilkinson, soon to President of Rotary International and his wife Joan, and also our District Governor Wojciech Czyszewski. Many other Rotary Governors and other personalities from other European Countries were present and all joined in the festive atmosphere of the event. 2 GSE groups from the USA and a study group from China also participated.
The Tournament followed the now well-established pattern and the Director of Golfing Slawek Pinski and his staff made sure that everything ran very smoothly.
The Golf Academy was a sight to see with so many novices wishing to find out what this funny game was all about. They became a bit more serious when the highly competitive Texas scramble took place.
In keeping with past experience it was won by a Team who had picked up Golf Clubs for the very first time that day.
The main competition again proved a challenging event.
Following the serious and not so serious Golfing matters it was party time with an excellent buffet being provided by the Binowo Park kitchens and music from the “Kentucky Girls”.

We thank the many companies who sponsored and participated in the event and helped us to raise 6000 Euros for our Incubator Project.
